PATANDI TEACHERS COLLEGE OF SPECIAL NEEDS EDUCATION
INTRODUCTION
Patandi Teachers' College in Tanzania is one of the East African Countries. it lies within the topics, shares borders with
Kenya and Uganda in the north. To the western side there is Rwanda, Burundi, and Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). The country
also borders Zambia, Malawi, and Mozambique in the south. We have the Indian Ocean in the east.
Patandi is situated in Arusha Region, 12 km east of Arusha town, along the Moshi-Arusha Road. It is the sole college that
trains teachers for special needs education in Tanzania. It started training specialist teachers in 1996, when the government
decided to move the training from Tabora Teachers' College. This decision was made through the General National Conference
on Special needs Education held at Arusha Internation Conference Centre in 1992.
Patandi now has certificate level studies and higher awards.
It was selected for this training due to the following conditions:

within easy reach of other related disciplines for our training programmers
availability of adequate land for expansion of other infrastructures
